Meet the team....

Each group is run by a  highly trained leader and supported by a local volunteer and a young sibs leader. The team  leaders  have a wide variety of specialist skills and experience supporting and educating  children with Autism  and other  needs. The young sibs leader is usually a young person who has an interest in working with children or one of our sibs who have grown up to become a mentor to the younger members of the group .  The local volunteer may be a  parent or student with an interest  in working with children

Leaders are  DBS approved.   Certificated Training includes;

Paediatric First Aid, Food & Hygiene, Safeguarding (Designated Safeguarding Lead), Team Teach, Understanding Autism,  Managing Challenging Behaviour, Sibs Leader Trained.

My life aim is to enthuse others and encourage them to become confident individuals, inquisitive about the world around them. I will give most things 'a go' and am considered by most to be quirky if not slightly mad.

I have been managing the Sibsservice since 2012. alongside   teaching  and  working as museum educator. More recently I decided to  focus on Sibsservice  as more and more families contact us for support.  I also provide business Management support for Charnwood Arts Therapy Services Ltd.

Relevent Qualifications 

Qualified Teacher,  with experience in main stream, special schools and pupil referral units.  Previously Museum Educator.

Interests: Climbing, Cycling- anything outdoors, reading, art, music, films, playing in my garden, going to the cinema.

I’m a practicing Art Therapist  working with children and young adults with autism, attachment, emotional and behavioural difficulties.  I have  an Arts Therapy Company  that provides art, music, drama and play therapy to children and young people in their homes, schools or other facilities. Jennie Frost

Volunteer Supporting Leader and Trustee

I am Senior SENCO Assistant in the Special Educational Needs department of a primary school and am gaining knowledge all the time of how the whole family are affected by children with Autism. I am a wife and mother of 3 children that I am very proud of! 

We have a fantastic team at Sibsservice  where I am both working with  as Trustee and Volunteer. It is brilliant.

 

Interests: Baking, reading, listening to music.
